motions in the wind of time
all there is to know is blind
all there is to do is mine
but what is there to do if i do not act
act on my dreams
getting further from the truth

how is it we all think so similar
yet we are all so different
with in humanity
losing the way
when the whole of us tumbles and falls
we'd like to set the blame
but who is to blame but us
blame the boss
blame the spouse
blame the sister
or even the mouse
but why blame at all
when you can take the call
gaining power
living in the hour
creating leadership
creating passion
creating possibility
and taking on the ways of life
so much easier to say
than to do
changing the mind that refuses to
commitment
what is that
what are you truly committed to
committed to blaming those around you
why do we all do such a thing
it is easy .. yes
but where has the integrity gone
who are we
we can be better
than what we have been taught
why not be a new way of thought

If Eyes Could Blink

caught in a spin
climbing ageist the wind
where out thou soul
let it be a miss
for in my dreams
if eyes could blink
what would I miss
torn and tattered
tattered and torn
the twisted mind before me sees
all there is to know is blind
and yet can still see
may it all be a loss
may it all be mine
after all I dream of divine

falling from the distances
fading
for all i know
all that i was creating
can still it be
will i be set free
lingering on
never knowing
may this day some how be showing
take this rhyme oh by and by
take it with you and let me die
be free from knowing
free from showing
the tears within
shall show on my skin
working harder
fading faster
ever pleasing of the master
STOP
this shall not be all
for i am free from the fall
and so i do
i climb the wall
grasping harder
never to fall
fall back to where i came
never knowing my true name
climbing further
being bolder
i shall no longer be the shoulder
for i am free
free to be me
